The Other Side is a 100% honest and true autobiography about me, Kim Cottrell. In my book, I share my journey of overcoming adversity. I was abandoned, sexually molested from 5 to 10 years old, and suffered physical and psychological abuse. As a result of my childhood, I started living a life set on complete self-destruction and contemplated suicide. I stopped believing in God at the age of nine. The book goes on to talk about how God was working in my life, despite the fact I was living a seedy life (alcohol, drugs, and promiscuity) and flat out didn’t believe in God or any higher being. I share about God’s unconditional love and my transformation to a new person. And God’s continual unconditional love, despite my human imperfection.
